Same thing happened to my dog who is 10 years old. When I called the hotline number to tell them what happened they said you should not put this on older dogs. Well no where on the box does it state that. I am a single mother with two kids and Brandy has always actted like a puppy. I also gave her the drops and the next morning she was lethargic, not eating, trembling and difficulty breathing. I brought her to the emergency vet clinic with my two kids in tow. I was fearing the worst. The vet took one look at her and said you put Hartz flea & tick drops on her didn’t you. She said that she has seen this so many times. She gave Brandy an IV, pain medicine, and took her blood to see how bad this poison was effecting her. They wanted 1100.00 to keep her over the weekend and monitor her and to keep giving her fluids. I could not afford that and had to use my oil money to pay the 350.00 fee. I called Hartz and they said to send everything to them. Well it has been 2 weeks and no word. I just called them and was told 4 – 6 weeks my claim was under review. How long does it take to look at a vet bill? Now I am using my xmas money to pay for oil so I am not sure if this company will do the right thing or not. My dog is a lot better and my kids are happy to have her home. But what kind of company can repeatedly poison animals and there are still able to operate. They need to pay the victims and reimburse vet bills. How many complaints before this is taken off of the market. How many animals need to suffer for this companies greed. Why isn’t the government stepping in to regulate this? The more money they make the more animals that get sick. These people ought to be ashamed that they make money off of hurting animals.
