Need prayers going out for my cat, Jaws isn’t doing well, and it is all because we put a Hartz Flea Collar on him and 3 weeks later he is drooling nonstop, doesn’t eat alot or drink alot, and he sleeps in the corner of the kitchen by our refrigerator. When he lifts his head up after sleeping along time his face seems to stick to the floor because of all of his drool, and now there is a little bit of blood involved. Not looking good at all

Have you tried giving him a bath with baby shampoo? Some people have had success giving water with a syringe. Prayers for jaws

Have you bathed your kitty? I would do that right away if not. I will say a prayer for your kitty. I had a similar reaction tonight to Frontline after minutes of applying this poison. I guess none is safe. Let us know the outcome please

Well now we find out that after going to the vet tonight that he had an abscess on that side of his mouth, and we are not sure that it was because of the flea collar now(it is just weird that right after he started wearing that flea collar is when he started having these problems)
So now he has had this drained and medication given to him, now we have to go backup to find out if it was tooth related.
So thanks for all the prayers guys. Will keep in contact.

You might also want to give him some unflavored Pedialyte and ask your vet for some chicken flavored Lysine gel. Did wonders for our catz when they were victimized by Hartz Ultra Flea Spray last summer. It was a lot of hard work to get 4 sick catz to take the Pedialyte and Lysine gel, but they all recovered without any serious complications- we gave them the Pedialyte every 1.5-2hrs and the Lysine 4 times a day. One ended up losing a lot of fur off his lower back and legs, and my Main Coon lost most of his long fur. It’s slowing growing back- took about 9 months. We now use a product by NaturVet called Brewer’s Dried Yeast Formula with Garlic and alpha lipoic acid. No more fleas and everyone (all 9 of them) are healthy and have beautiful coats once again. This product is worth its weight in gold to us.

I BOUGHT HARTZ ULTRA GUARD FLEA DROPS FOR MY FOUR INSIDE CATS AND IT MADE THEM SICK THEY ARE ONLY EATING A LITTLE AND NOT DRINKING WATER AND SLEEPING ALOT. THIS PRODUCT IS POISON I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE I BOUGHT IT. I HAVE JUST TRIED TO PUT DAwN DETERGENT ON THEM HOPPING IT WILL WORK. I NOTICED ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE SUEING HARTZ ABOUT THAT PRODUCT. MY WIFE AND I REALLY LOVE OUR CATS AND DON,T WANT TO LOSE THEM.

Sorry to hear about ur cat. I too wish I would have known about this site. We put Hartz flea and tick drops on two of our very healthy cats. The next day our cat Toby was falling off of everything, throwing up, foaming at the mouth, sleeping, and not eating or drinking. I have had him at the vet twice where he had a fever of 105 yesterday. Today he is still the same just laying around and can barely hold his eyes open.I don’t know what else to do I have spent $400 dollars already and no luck ): I hope they get sued for every penny they ever made even though it will not bring back the beloved pets that people have already lost. I just hope we are not added to that list of people whohave to say good bye
