We applied Sergent’s gold to our cat, Conan, a 1yr. old male tabby, at approximately 9:15 p.m. on 5/3/10. Within 20 minutes, he was throwing up large amounts and drooling excessively. He also appeared to be having tremors, and his muscles on his back were spasming. We immediately looked up sergeant’s gold on the internet and found terrible reviews and similar stories of what our cat was experiencing. We gave him a bath right away and soaked him with lots of water. It has now been 24 hours and he is still experiencing ill side effects of the sergeant’s gold product. He is very lathargic and has vommitted several times today. His back is still twitching at times and his neck is very sore, where the sergeant’s gold was applied. We are would like to help you in your class action lawsuit against the makers of this product. Please email me if I can help you.

Dont use the Sergant’s Silver Flea and Tick Solution. We gave the dogs a bath and then put the Sergeant’s Silver solution on the dogs within 2 hours the dogs began to run around like crazy,scratching,biting at their fur. Our smallest dog vomited several times. We then bathed them with dawn dish soap. The dogs cried all night long. We did stay up with them all night. Three days later the dogs continue to cry and scratch like the have their skin burning. I was concerned so I looked up the company of the Hertz on google and I came across this website. SOMEONE and everyone needs to stop this behavior of this company, who does not give a shit. BUT MY DOGS ARE MY LIFE, MY LOYAL FRIENDS AND FAMILY! If something bad happens to my 4 dogs I will be looking into a law suit. I will be saving this web site just incase. i killed the best dog i have had in a long time ozlow. with hartz ultra guard flea and tick spray and no no body can replace my dog not that dog. i spent six months training and liveing day and night with that dog i took him to work with me night watchman /yeah i am a woman. and they wanted me to send them the dog so they could cut him up like damn people like i and my dog has not went threw enough.

LAST NITE I PUT THE HARTZ FLEA DROPS ON MY THREE CATS. THEY SEEMED TO BE OK EXCEPT FOR ONE, MOSES. HE KEPT TWITCHING AND SHAKING AND COULDN’T EVEN JUMP UP TO THE WINDOW.. AT THIS MOMENT HE IS AT THE VETS AND IM PRAYING HE WILL BE SAVED. I LOVE MY ANIMALS DEARLY AND I TRUSTED THIS COMPANY.. BUT, THEY POISONED MY CAT. THIS PRODUCT SHOULD NEVER BE ON THE MARKET. IT’S GOING TO CONTINUE HURTING MORE ANIMALS AND THEIR OWNERS USLESS SOMETHING IS DONE TO STOP IT.

I applied sargeants sunday june 13 to 3 akc pedigree mini red poodles. within 20 min. they were foaming at mouth, scratching, walking funny, crying whining. I dont know if I will be able to breed these dogs now. I am a small home breeder and these dogs are bred for temperment and color. It is awful that such beautiful creatures have to suffer for no good reason. Please let me know about any recourse/lawsuit. This stuff burned my hands just trying to wash it off them.

My husband and I used Hartz Flea and Tick Shampoo once on our dog Bella, and within 24 hrs she now has a chemical burn on her entire body. Took her to the Vet and he was not surprised at all, he said Never use this product again, he also had two other animals who used it and they had seizures.
Bella now is on two medications, her entire body is raw from head to paws and she is limp.
This must be taken off the market, how do we all go about this???

I treated my 12 year old cat, Ozzy, with Hartz Ultraguard Pro and unfortunately, I had to put him down last week. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do and I am kicking myself for using the Hartz product. I have contacted the pet store where it was purchased and they refuse to take it off the shelves (it’s a corporate decision). The only way to get these products off the shelves is by a lawsuit. RIP my little Ozzy, I love and miss you everyday.

Do not use Sergent’s Gold Flee repellent, just yesterday I used this product on my small dog and just a small amount; and after about 20 minutes she was jumping around and could not sit still bitting at her skin. I immediately washed it off at least three time and she still couldn’t keep still or stop scratching. I used Dawn the last time to wash her off and no relief so I too her to the vet and paid $98 for an office visit. This stuff need to be taken off the shelf and I’m going to do everything I can to see that it happens.

I have a different complaint against Hartz. We have a 7 month old dachsund and we bought him Hartz bones that we did not notice were pork bones until he got extremely sick and in pain. We spent 8 hours in the animal ER today (day after Christmas) and they found a blockage in his colon from fragments from their Smokey Pork Bones for small dogs. I am looking at all angles to resolve the 600+ dollar bill that we incurred from this incident. I’m glad to say that he is doing ok but this is simply rediculous. If anyone can advise me on how to procede with this please feel free to email me at [email protected]. I’m very angered by this incident. I am located in Ohio but I am willing to put the money into any sort of lawsuit I can just to stop this ignorant behavior that Hartz seems to display.

I lost my schnauzzer KRUGER on September 14th, 2011. I put on a hartz flea collar and dropped him off at my sisters because we were going on a vacation for 2 days. The next morning my sister called me stating Kruger was acting funny. I thought he was just depressed, but it continued to get worse. He started twitching, vomiting, diarrhea, foaming at the mouth, stared into now where, then became limp. That night he cried out in pain, was taken to the vet. they took off the flea collar gave him a bath, but it was too late. He was very, very seriously sick. He was not mentally there and the vet stated, she didn’t think he would make it. I had to put him down at 3:30 am. He was my best friend, my buddy and now he is gone. You bastards, how could you put deadly stuff on the market. I hope your company rots in hell.

ProMeris flea drops killed my Jazzy. After applying the drops she became toxic. She never did recover all the way and within 2 to3 months she was gone. I spent close to $3000.00 dollars and still lost her. I have a cas # that was given by ProMeris company, I was so thankful to hear that ProMeris was pulled from the shelve.
