Seeking clients for Class Action suit in Tennessee

Dear Sir:
I am contacting you as the Owner and Operator of HartzVictims.org from a law office based in Germantown (Memphis), Tennessee. Our attorneys and associates are very interested in constructing a Class Action lawsuit against these companies for their dangerous and lethal products. I would ask that as at this time we are currently seeking clients to represent in this legal matter, if you would be gracious enough to include a link and some brief information on your website to allow readers and those hurt by these products to contact us regarding the pending lawsuit?
I look forward to your response.

Hartz Ultra Guard

I vowed to spread this story to as many people as I could and I intend to stick with that.

I was using Revolution to treat my 3.5 year old collie for fleas/ticks, but at $20/month thought it was a little pricey. I happened to be at a grocery store where Hartz Ultra Guard was on sale and I thought, “wow, $10 for three months? That’s awesome.”

I got home and put it on his upper back/lower back as stated on the package. Within a day he was scratching at it and acting weird. I looked at it and noticed a giant sore developing – looked like a burn mark.

I called the vet on Monday (six-days after administering this product). I already had him booked in for Tuesday for his routine shots/physical so the vet said he’d be OK until the next day.

I took him in and he had to be shaved on his lower back and put on antibiotics. The place between his shoulder blades was just a little burnt, so it didn’t need to be shaved.

After reading all the posts here and various other places on the Internet, I consider myself and my dog very luck that it wasn’t much worse. My vet said the fact that he has good weight behind him was likely reason why it wasn’t more severe.

I plan to contact all the stores that I can, that sell this product to tell them of the dangers in hopes that they will discontinue the sale of them. I’ve told everyone I could and sent photos along to whoever would accept them.

It’s safe to say I’ll be paying the $20/month for revolution and never purchasing another Hartz product again, this includes toys/treats. I will not support a company like this. If this is what they put into their flea medication I don’t even want to know w hat’s in their treats.

My dog is so important to me, and I’m so very grateful it wasn’t worse.

sentry proXFC

I have a 13 yr old active healthy dog who reacted severely to sentry pro XFC 4 days ago. I took him to emergency, gave him benadryl & prednisone. of coarse bathed him, twice, that night.

now he is walking crooked, and his left back leg twitches. i am morethan worried, and way morethan upset. why is this stuff  being made & sold???

Hartz UltraGuard poisoning

I received the following via email from HartzVictim, Dylan:

“Last night we were just hanging out at the house when I noticed what I thought was a small scab on one of our dog’s ears.  When I was able to get a closer look I saw that it was actually a very small tick.  We proceeded to remove it and inspect the rest of our animals.  After all of that we decided that we should go to the store to get some kind of repellant for them, we are new to Arkansas and never had to do this in Colorado.

We found the Hartz products at our local store and proceeded to buy them because we didn’t know any better.  After we got home we used the Harz UltraGuard plus on all of our dogs and our cat.  Within one hour our cat started to breathe really heavy and it sounded like it was taking a lot of effort for him to do so.  Ten minutes latter he started to foam at the mouth and started to act strangely, running around spastically, twitching a lot, shaking and started to vomit up foamy liquids.  We immediately went to the internet and found your site.  After reading a few of the stories we grabbed the cat and proceed to give him a good scrubbing in the kitchen sink.  After we got done with his bath and got him mostly dry he seemed to be doing better immediately, no more foaming at the mouth, no twitching, just some heavy breathing.  Upon awaking this morning there were a few spots where he had gotten sick throughout the night, but he does seem to be doing quite better this morning.

We are glad that we found this website and that we are not the only ones out there that experienced this problem.  The dogs seemed to be ok and tolerated the medication better, but regardless they also received baths.  I can’t believe that so many people experience issues with this product and its still on the shelves, WITHOUT ANY KIND OF WARNING!  I wasn’t even able to find out common side effects for their products on the website, what a F~**ing joke. I will let everyone I know not to use these products, so that their animals don’t have to go though the pain like my cat did.  Thank you for this website.”

Sergeant’s Silver Tick Topical

I have a 6 1/2 yr. old pug. I usually use Frontline, but I happened to be at the Acme and purchased this product because of convenience. Within 1 hr., he started salivating, scratching uncontrolably and bitting his own front paws and breathing louder than normal (and pugs are loud to begin with). The next morning, I called my vet who said I should administer .25mg of Benedryl. He got sleepy, but it didn’t help his itching. In the middle of the night, he started twitching as if he had no control, and was obviously extremely uncomfortable. I went to the ER where they gave him a shot of steroids and muscle relaxers and said he wouldn’t die since he didn’t go into a spasm or fit, but it would take days for this POISON to get out of his system. I went on-line and was horrified by what I read ! I’m now in the process of contacting every agency and news media I can muster!

Tell EPA to Stop Poisoning Pets!

On March 17, the EPA announced the results of its year-long investigation of spot-on pet products, and put forth a proposal to make spot-on products safer for pets.   The proposal includes label changes and stricter regulations for spot-on products, including requiring pre-market clinical trails, post-market surveillance, and more comprehensive companion animal safety studies.

For more information on the EPA’s proposal, go to:

http://www.biospotvictims.org/EPA-HQ-OPP-2010-0229-0025.pdf

This action is long overdue, however, there is a possibility that it will never happen because the pet pesticide manufacturers are opposed to stricter regulation of their industry!

The EPA wants to know what YOU think about its plan to make spot-on products safer for pets.  To submit comments to the EPA, go to:

http://www.regulations.gov/search/Regs/home.html#submitComment?R=0900006480ac029f

The fate of EPA’s proposal to make spot-on products safer for pets may largely depend on comments from the public, which includes the pet pesticide manufacturers and YOU!

Comments must be submitted by 5/17/10.

gold flea & tick kills

I put it on my two cats, one has sadly died, It looks like the other one might make it.One hour after applying, both cats bodies started to twith badly . All that I could do was wash off as much as I could. I would apply wet damp cloths after that.We need to stop this, I have never had this happen in the past applications. TAKE THIS OFF THE SHELF PLEASE ! My little red would still be alive.

Hartz products are not safe

I used hartz flea treatment on my Labrador Retriever and within 8 hours her back was burned from the chemicals. I had to take her to the vet and spent more than $300.00 to have her treated and several weeks of watching her suffer. I called the hartz number and made them aware of what had happened they did not offer any solutions or any help. She had to be shaved for the chemical burns. Hartz was not symapathetic these products should be removed from the shelf. It was one small tube used on my pet and it was very painful to have to doctor her to see how much pain she went through. It is shameful what is happening to all of our beloved pets I personally will never use another hartz product to treat any of my animals I trusted Hartz before this happened to my pet but after they tortured my dog who had permanent scarring from this everyone needs to know what will happen to your pet and that you will personally suffer if you care about your pets. Its not worth it check with your vet and find a good product for your pets.
