Thank you

I just wanted to say “Thanks” for all the stories posted here on this website. They are a blessing to those (such as myself) that had NO idea of the harmful side affects HARTZ can have on our beloved pets. About a week ago I opted to use HARTZ  Advanced Care flea and tick drops for dogs on our 2 1/2 yr old “Buck”. Within 2 days there was a bald spot on his back that seemed harmless. It became worse and appear to be getting infected so we assumed he was sensitive to the meds and treated him at home. Buck is a “country dog” and it isn’t unusual for him to stay away all day and explore the Blue Ridge Mountains. When he returned home after his daily adventure it was obviously worse and we decided that he would be taken to the vet the next day. Later that night he began making moaning/whimpering sounds, hiding in strange places and his tongue was white versus pink. We began researching possibilies on the internet and stumbled across this site and all the posts. Our vet is not opened after hours and the closet one is a little over an hour away. Information found on this site helped us to make the right decision when it came to Buck and not to  wait until morning. As soon as the vet saw the wound he asked if we had used HARTZ. He explained that he has seen this before and we were lucky that it had not  progressed any further.  Now we have a $300 vet bill, a 5 1/2 year old daughter that was kept out until 1:30 a.m. on a school night, a husband working 12 hours on 3 hours sleep and a dog that is use to roaming the country side being kept in a kennel indoors for at least 3 weeks.. all because of something that we did thinking we were helping our pet. We are thankful that he is going to be okay and we understand that it could have been much worse. Thank you again for your stories. There were several families in the vet’s office late last night and when they asked what happened I told them exactly what product we used and about
