I have three Pit bulls and used this product for the first time last night. I have never had such a problem with my dogs. They all ran around panting and wheezing. They all threw up thru out the night and into this morning. This product should be banned from use. How can a company put out such a hramful product. Have we no government oversight on this stuff. I just bathed all three after calling the sergeants hotline for advice. NEVER use this product on your pets.
I hope I have not poisoned my dogs using this garbage. This company should be sued!

Sergeant’s Gold Flea and Tick Squeeze-On for Dogs.
I applied this product to my dog as directed, and within hours she was vomiting, foaming at the mouth, drooling and had no control of her legs. I was NOT happy with this product AT ALL. Thank God she is okay now, after calling a vet and doing what the vet told me to do. I absolutely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this product to ANYONE !!!
This was very scary for us and we don’t want anyone else to go through it. We made a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and the Sergeant’s Company.
She now shows signs of permanent brain damage… she’s now 3 & goes around acting like a puppy, she has now control over her bladder or bowels.

My son lost three cats in one day due to Hartz flea products. To get the word out even more, I would like to suggest you and other people whose pets were harmed by these products, contact your local TV station. If you have a TV station that does investigations please contact them to look into these terrible products so they can be taken off of the shelf as soon as possible. I would also talk to the store manager where you bought the products and tell him/her about Hartz products and Sargeant’s which is made by Hartz. Give him/her the link to this blog so he/she can see the complaints as well. I emailed channel 5 new earlier today. Tomorrow I will go to two local pet stores to see if they carry these dangerous products. Sadly, this won’t help your pet, but it will be a step in the right direction on getting the news out and these products taken from the shelves.

I used this on my poodle who was the smartest dog I had ever met. After going through a night of hell praying for her to stay alive I believe she has suffered brain damage. It is now 2 months later and ever since then she has seemed disconnected with the world. She now seems very slow. She used to know every command in the book and now she doesnt even know how to sit. I have tried to reteach her but have made no progress. My poor little angel:(

I see finally the EPA is doing an investigation on this. If you have had a problem, please go to the EPA web site and fill in the complaint form. save the ox and or lot number for the form.

I used sergeants on my both my pitts the male, had a seizure, and is suffering from nervous system issues, it happened a few hours after i applied the product; sergeants gold flea drip for the dogs, it was an underweight dose that i used for i did not know how he would react. I contacted the emergency number which is 1-800-224-7387… got hung up on by the emergency vet that i had talked to… I am a Medical Assistant, which tome the anatomy and the physiology of animals are the same as humans, says my vet of 12 years. (that was the male, he weighs 100 lbs and the dosage i used for a dog not exceeding the weight of 66 lbs) the female is lethargic and not had a seizure,( she weighs 60 lbs) and no other side effects. I AM TAKING MY DOGS TO THE VET AND HAVING A COMPLETE BLOOD WORK AND EXAM, AND THE BILL WILL BE GOING TO SERGEANTS, AND ALSO MY LAWYER….. This product shuld be taken off the market, they (the owner of sergeants flea products, whether it be for a cat, ( i also have a sick cat from the product) or a dog should be taken off the market. The animals we have are our family, thats why i purchased a different flea medicine to see if it would be different than front line, cause the fleas are not dying with front line… call your vet before you use any flea medication, from applying it to the skin, or using a different shampoo.
I AM VERY UPSET ABOUT THIS, I HAVE HAD BOTH MY DOGS FOR A VERY LONG TIME AND THEY (SERGEANTS) SAY THAT ITS PROBALLY NOT THE APPLICATION….IN MY HONEST OPINION, IT IS… PLEASE FOR THE HEATH AND WELL BEING OF YOUR LOVED ANIMALS DO NOT USE SERGEANTS PRODUCTS…. THERE ARE CLASS A LAW SUITS AGAINST THEM, MANY PET OWNERS HAVE LOST THEIR PETS, AND MANY PETS HAVE NEUROLOGICAL PROBLEMS…..
