I also bought this product and put it on 2 of 3 chihuahuas…… is pregnant. They both started panting, drooling, scratching and could not sleep, it seamed as if they were having convulsions. It has been 2 days and doses of meds later and they are still having problems. Their skin is scorched. If anyone needs help to take these people down or you have a lawsuit, I will be more than happy to help. They are still selling this product even after all of the problems and complaints they have had. They really care about our pets don’t they!!! Thank you, you can email me at   [email protected]

  1. I too have had a problem with Hartz flea drops. About three weeks ago I treated my oldest cat Frosty (11 yrs) with these drops as directed. As I was preparing to do the same to my other cats( I have 6 including Frosty) I noticed that Frosty was beginning to drool and couldn’t stand up straight. He was wobbling and falling down and when I looked into his eyes his pupils were wide open and I could see there was something terribly wrong with him. I immediately picked him up and washed the area (back of the neck) with a wash cloth and Dawn dish soap (simply because I know dawn will remove just about anything)then rinsed the area well with warm water. I just knew that he had been poisoned by the Hartz. Thank heaven I know my animals and spotted the trouble almost as I was finishing the tube on him. It scared the hell out of me and needless to say I didn’t treat the other cats. One is a 3 month old kitten and I am so thankful I did not do her. After many agonizing minutes Frostys symptoms started to clear and he is fine now, but it seemed like hours.I believe that Hartz knows about these problems and does nothing about them. After all they have been around for years and surely have read many letters about the side affects of this product. I am all for having them investigated by the people who take care of these situations and there lack of caring about our pets and not taking the stuff off the market voluntarily. We need to hold them accountable for there actions. I am so sorry for all of you whose pets died after using this product. It could just as easily been my Frosty had I not noticed right away he was having a reaction to a product that is produced by a company who is supposedly “All about your pet”. Count on me to be of any help in the fight to have this product tested and removed from our stores. I’ll bet that they hardly know what is in this stuff, or we would have seen and heard the actions they had taken.
